Customize Tweets Feed
The tweets feed displays tweets that mention your organization using your Twitter handle or that match hashtags that you set. You can choose up to 10 hashtags you want to follow. We recommend choosing hashtags that you already use to communicate with your Twitter followers.
Tip: Do exploratory research in Twitter to figure out which hashtags are the most useful ones to monitor, and then transfer your findings to Bloomerang. Don't change which hashtags you monitor in Bloomerang just to search for stuff. Changing these reloads tweets in all constituent accounts.
To set up hashtags:
- Click the Configuration tab.
- Type in a hashtag in the Hashtags field. Hashtags must be valid in Twitter to be accepted in Bloomerang.
Note: What's valid? Hashtags may have numbers, but they can't have spaces, special characters, or start with numbers.
- Click Add.
The hashtag is automatically added, and any tweets from your constituents that use that hashtag are added to their timelines. The Tweets tab now has a Hashtags tab, too. Click it to see tweets that use the hashtags you set.
The Configuration tab also shows how many tweets have been pulled in and how many constituents have Twitter handles in their profiles. Match more constituents to improve your stats! The statistics update every time you reload the Twitter Listening Hub, but click Refresh to update after matching constituents or changing hashtags.
