Pledges are used when a constituent promises to give you a fixed amount of money on a certain date (or dates).

Pledges are not used for outright gifts; enter a donation instead. Pledges are not for repeated donations that are given indefinitely on a regular schedule; enter a recurring donation instead.

When you create a pledge, a pledge schedule, or list of installments, is also created. Adjust these pledge schedules as needed. Add, refund, or delete pledge payments. If a pledge is not going to be paid, write it off or delete it.

Pledges appear on the timeline with a gift box icon and are labeled as "Pledge." Payments made toward the pledge are labeled as "Pledge Payments."

The Pledge or Pledge Payment entry displays the date, amount, and fund. Click on an entry to view more information.
