Audience

An Audience is where you store and manage all of your contact data in Mailchimp. All of the constituent information you push from Bloomerang will be added to one Audience in Mailchimp. You will need to create the Audience before connecting Bloomerang and Mailchimp. If you need help getting started, see this Mailchimp help document: Create a Mailchimp Audience.

Groups

Groups are used to sort subscribed contacts based on their interests in Mailchimp. Bloomerang Email Interests map to Mailchimp Groups when you push constituent data to Mailchimp. If Groups exist in the Audience, you will be able to map to them in step 2. New Groups can also be created during step 2. See this Mailchimp help document for more information about Groups: Getting Started with Groups

Fields

Mailchimp allows up to 30 fields to use as merge fields in your Mailchimp Audience. Choose Bloomerang constituent fields to map to corresponding Mailchimp fields. When you use a template to push data from Bloomerang to Mailchimp, your contacts in Mailchimp will be updated with data from these Bloomerang fields. You can then use this data in your Emails in Mailchimp.

Tags

Tags are used in Mailchimp as labels to help organize your contacts. When you push constituent data to Mailchimp via a template, a unique Tag is created on the constituents that were pushed. The Template Name plus a unique timestamp will be used as the name for the Tag in Mailchimp. In Mailchimp, you’ll select the Tag that was created in order to finish creating your email. For more information about Mailchimp Tags, see this Mailchimp help document: Getting Started with Tags
