Bloomerang's Donor Retention wheel gives you an up-to-date look at the percentage of donors you are retaining. The wheel recalculates every day based on your settings.

By default, the Donor Retention wheel looks at who gave at least once 24 to 12 months ago, then gave again in the past 12 months, however, Administrators can customize this, and other settings.

Who and What is included?

The Donor Retention Wheel does not include constituents who are inactive or deceased, and is calculated based on household:

  • For constituents who are in households, their donor retention will be calculated using transactions on the household.
  • For constituents who are not in households, their donor retention will be calculated using transactions on their individual constituent account.

The Donor Retention wheel factors in donations, pledges, pledge payments, and recurring donation payments. The following are excluded:

  • Transactions that have a $0 amount, unless the method is In Kind.
  • Transactions that have a $0 deductible amount.
  • Transactions that have been refunded.
  • Pledges that have been fully written off.

View Retained or Lapsed Donors

You can click a section of the graph to open a report with the list of constituents who are retained or lapsed. The report will apply either the default or custom filters based on the selected view. You can save this report for future use, so it can be accessed from the Reports List.
