All transaction forms and the email sign-up form send a default confirmation email when someone submits the form. Default confirmation emails have a Purpose of Receipt, and do not mark the transaction as acknowledged in your database. You can choose to send a custom confirmation email instead. Custom confirmation emails have a Purpose of Acknowledgement, and mark the transaction as acknowledged in your database.
